Canva ships hundreds of resume templates. Most are designed for visual impact, not for ATS parsers. The 30 below pass both: they look strong and they parse cleanly. With the three customisations to make before you export.
Canva's design-first philosophy creates three issues for ATS parsers. Fix each before you export.
Canva's free tier covers all of these. Open Canva → Search 'resume' → filter by category. The exact names rotate as Canva A/B tests their gallery.
Some are; many are not. The minimalist and modern-professional single-column templates pass cleanly. Two-column and creative templates often confuse older parsers. Pick from the categories above and apply the three pre-export fixes.
Most of the resume templates are in Canva's free tier. A handful are Pro-only (marked with a crown icon). The 30 categories above are all free.
Always PDF Standard (selectable text). PNG is image-only and ATS cannot parse it. 'PDF Print' is also fine; 'PDF for sharing' is image-flat and ATS-blind.
Inside Canva, yes. Once exported as PDF, treat it as the final artifact. To re-edit, go back to Canva or rebuild the content in our editor.
Single-column Canva templates with selectable PDF text pass both. Two-column templates risk scrambling in Taleo specifically. Test with our ATS resume checker before submitting.
Free. 60-second check confirms it parses cleanly.
